Ages: 1st-8th grades at all school age branches
Note: Enrollment is available for children who will be in kindergarten in the fall of 2022 at Haynes Family Huntington Beach Branch only. Must be age 5 or older and have completed TK (transitional kindergarten). An additional $10/week fee applies for kindergarteners.

Cost:

  • Full-Time Contract, 8+ weeks: $150/week
  • As Needed Contract, 1-7 weeks: $175
  • Annual membership fee of $25 required for all members, valid September – August.

Full Day Program Online Registration

With your contract, your child can participate at the Club Monday-Friday, 6:30am – 6:00pm during your selected weeks. The Club anticipates that all weeks will fill up quickly, so reserve your weeks today for the full day program!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

At the Boys & Girls Club, kids spend their days learning, having fun, and making friends! Our programs are designed to help kids reach their full potential. Kids can move freely through activities in each of our rooms, choosing from a wide variety of programming focused on the Boys & Girls Club’s five core areas of youth development: Education, Sports & Recreation, the Arts, Health & Wellness, and Leadership and Service.

THEME WEEKS

Each week of summer, the Club will focus its programming on special theme weeks. Choose your favorites or sign up for them all!

  • June 6-10: ANIMATION ACADEMY (Fountain Valley Kingston Branch Only)
    Learn about art from around the world and create your own amazing masterpieces. Members will use pastels, watercolors, clay, and many more mediums.
  • June 13-17: AROUND THE WORLD (Fountain Valley Kingston Branch Only)
    Club members will take a trip around the world, learning about other countries and cultures. Members will fill out their passports as they explore the world through the lens of the Club as their voyage takes them to new far-away places.
  • June 20 – June 24: LEGO CAMP (Fountain Valley Kingston Branch Only)
    It’s all about legos this week! Members will design and create lego cities, lego building, and lego cars for challenges and STEM projects. They will also enjoy lego themed cooking classes. They will also be using their imagination to get creative and even make art with Legos.
  • June 27 – July 1: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (All three branches now open for summer!)
    We are bringing the jungle to the Club! We will have a jungle scavenger hunt, learn more about jungle animals, rainforests, and more!
  • July 5 – July 8 (Closed July 4 in observance of Independence Day): PARTY IN THE USA
    Celebrate America’s birthday by making classic American cuisine in the teaching kitchen, making patriotic hats, and more.
  • July 11 –  July 15: ROBOTICS WEEK
    Members will use our new STEM lab materials to explore the exciting world of robotic fun, which consists of different engaging robot devices, manipulative building tiles and playstix, and a cutting edge 3D printer!  Members will have the opportunity to learn how to code and use their coding skills to move and manipulate a variety of robots. They will also get the chance to create their own 3D items with our onsite 3D printer.
  • July 18 – July 22: ROLLING OUT THE RED CARPET
    Experience Hollywood in all its glamour and glory. Members will write and direct a short film and create their own star on our Club Walk of Fame.
  • July 25 – July 29: ASTRO WEEK
    Come and explore the universe with us. We will recreate our solar system, learn about NASA’s Perseverance rover and get messy in the kitchen creating space-themed treats.
  • August 1 – August 5: OCEAN EXPLORATION
    Join us for a captivating week to learn about all of the ocean’s creatures. We will dive into a week of water activities and hopefully be visited by some of these wonderful under-the-sea creatures.
  • August 8 – August 12: IRON CHEF
    Kids who love to help in the kitchen will relish this week’s activities. Kids will learn about the science of cooking, seasonal ingredients, and create some delicious dishes in the Teaching Kitchen.
  • August 15 – August 19: ANIMATION ACADEMY
    Learn about art from around the world and create your own amazing masterpieces. Members will use pastels, watercolors, clay, and many more mediums.
  • August 22-26: AROUND THE WORLD
    Club members will take a trip around the world, learning about countries, cultures and far-away places. We will fill out their passport as they explore the world all from the comfort of the Club.
  • August 29 – September 2: LEGO CAMP
    It’s all about LEGOS this week! Members will design and create Lego cities, Lego building, and Lego cars for challenges and STEM projects. They will also enjoy Lego themed cooking classes. They will also be using their imagination to get creative and even make art with Legos.
OTHER INFORMATION

HALF-DAY SPECIALTY CAMPS
You can add on to your child’s full day summer camp experience with half day specialty camps or enroll in just the half day camp – choose the option that’s best for your family. If your child is enrolled in the full day program AND the specialty camp, bus transportation is available between Boys & Girls Club branches.

OPTIONAL LUNCH PROGRAM
Our Clubs also offer a daily hot lunch program for just $6 per day.
Monday: Subway turkey & cheese sandwich, chips, & drink
Tuesday: Club BBQ – Hot dogs, chips, cookies & drink
Wednesday: 2 slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza, fruit, & drink
Thursday: KFC chicken fingers, potato wedges, carrots, & drink
Friday: Club BBQ – Hamburger, chips, cookies & drink

Lunch Policies:

  • Lunches must be paid for in person by 10:00am on the day of use.
  • Children must arrive at the Club by noon to participate in the lunch program.
  • Lunch fees are non-transferrable, non-refundable.
  • Lunches may be purchased in advance.
  • If lunch is not purchased, children must bring lunch.
  • Due to health standards and regulations, no refrigerator or microwave is available
    for member use (no heat-ups).

PAYMENT POLICIES
Contracts are billed weekly and cover program hours from 6:30am to 6:00pm from June 6 through September 2, 2022. Payments are due the Friday prior to the week used, with no deductions for absences, vacations, or holidays. A late fee of $10 will apply if fees are not paid by Monday at 6:00pm.

All program fees must be kept current to participate in extra activities, including field trips. Field trips, special events and lunch fees must be paid in person at the branch. COVID-19 Considerations

The safety of the children we serve is always the Club’s #1 priority. The Club takes numerous safety precautions to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 within our Club community.

These precautions include (but are not limited to):

  • Face coverings encouraged as required by local health care agencies.
  • Physical distancing.
  • Adequate ventilation.
  • Frequent sanitizing of facilities and equipment.
  • Encouraging good hygiene practices, including hand hygiene.
  • Symptom screening and close contact exposure screening for children and staff on arrival.
