What We Do
All across the United States, more the 3,500 Boys & Girls Clubs are changing the lives of our youth and positively affecting their future. Although all Boys & Girls Clubs are affiliated with the National organization, each uniquely adapts to the population, cultures, and demographics it serves.
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley, we offer four facility based child day care centers (two licensed development preschools and two school-age before and after school centers), and a performing arts academy, specifically designed to meet the needs of our community. Every day we address the needs of our children, including their care, safety, and development, through high quality adult-supervised activities and programs. We go beyond simply providing day care: we provide more than 7,000 youth each year with life enhancing development programs that make a difference.
Approximately 42% of an adolescent's waking hours are discretionary, unsupervised, and unproductive. By getting children involved with our Boys & Girls Clubs, they turn their unused time into quality time, giving them a chance to grow and the ambition to succeed. We understand young adults and realize they need fun and challenging activities to build confidence and remain constructive.
When kids become involved with organized youth programs there is a significant decrease in youth violence, alcohol and drug use. A positive environment like the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley gives them valuable life experiences that point them in a new direction. The right one.
