Summer Day Camp
Full-day child care programs starting June 20, 2011
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley, we understand that parents need safe and reliable child care and recreation programs for their children throughout the year, not just while youth are in school. Recognizing this need, we offer our high-quality school-age programs in a full day schedule over Winter, Spring, and Summer break.
In addition to our normal daily activities, such as computer learning centers, sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and indoor and outdoor games, during our Day Camps we offer a lunch program, daily field trips, and numerous other activities to keep children engaged and entertained throughout the day.
Our Summer Day Camp is open to school age children going into first grade through high school (younger children can attend one of our preschools), and is operated at our two specially designed school-age facilities: the Huntington Beach Branch and the Fountain Valley-Kingston Branch.

Program Information
1st Grade & Up
During Summer vacation, children in first grade through high school can participate in our summer day camp recreation program offered in a 20,000 square foot, air conditioned facility.
Daily programs include: Computer lab with supervised internet access, games, and digital arts programs. Arts and Crafts instruction. Cooking and nutrition classes. Soccer, basketball and other sports in an indoor gym and an outdoor playground. Games room with pool, foosball and more.
Teen Program
Our teen program is designed specifically for youth in grades 6 and up. We offer a full day program with access to all program areas plus specially designated teen space with computer access, movies, games, mentors, and various activities. This program also includes extended hours and special activities until 8:00 pm on Fridays.
Daily Field Trips
Members can also attend our daily field trips, which include Boomers, Wild Rivers, Angels Game, Rockreation, Knott’s Berry Farm, Laser Quest, Corona Del Mar, Movies, Nickel Nickel, Swimming, Glow-N-Bowl and much more. Field Trips are optional and fees vary depending on the activity.
Hot Lunch Program
Our Clubs also offer a daily hot lunch program for only $4 per day.

Program Prices & Fees
Annual Membership
To participate in our programs, each child must be a current member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley. The annual membership fee is $15 and is valid from September through August (or the end of your summer contract) each year.
Summer Full Time Contract (11 Weeks)
The full-time contract covers the entire summer, Monday-Friday. Fees are $90 per week. Each additional child is $85 per week.
Summer Part Time Contract (11 Weeks)
The part-time contract covers the entire summer, 1-4 days per week. Fees are: 1 day - $24 per week; 2 days - $45 per week; 3 days - $66 per week; or 4 days - $87 per week.
Summer Day Camp, As Needed Contract
If you only need to attend our Summer Day Camp periodically, an As Needed contract is available for a fee of $26 per day.
After Summer School, 4 Week Contract
Our After Summer School Program includes transportation from summer school to our Clubs. Call the club for a list of participating schools and prices.
HB Junior Lifeguards, Morning or Afternoon Session
We provide transportation to and from the beach and the Huntington Beach Branch Monday - Friday to help parents that need full day care for their children participating in the Huntington Beach Junior Lifeguards program. Fees are $66/week for 8 weeks ($61/week for 8 weeks for each additional child) or $17 per day for 1-4 days per week.
Optional Field Trips & Special Events
Boomers, Wild Rivers, Angels Game, Rockreation, Knott’s Berry Farm, Laser Quest, Corona Del Mar, Movies, Nickel Nickel, Swimming, Glow-N-Bowl, Ringling Brothers Circus and much more. Field Trips are optional and fees vary depending on the activity.
Payment Policies
The Full Time and Part Time contracts cover program hours from 6:30am to 6:00pm from June 20 through September 2, 2011. Contracts are billed weekly. Program fees are due the Friday prior to the week of use, with no deductions for absences, vacations, or holidays. A late fee of $10 will apply if fees are not paid by Monday at 6:00pm.
