Building Dreams Capital Campaign
How do you turn $1 into $16? Support the Boys & Girls Club!
Every $1 you donate to the Boys & Girls Club turns into $16.18 of positive economic impact in the local community. How do we know? Dammoei Global Research completed a study on the economic impact of Boys & Girls Clubs in the state of California in December 2011.
In their study, they discovered that Clubs across the state increased parental earnings, increased potential earnings of youth who will graduate from high school, reduced risky behaviors that result in teen pregnancy or incarceration, and, of course, new Clubs bring jobs and other spending to the community just to run programs.
The net result of all these benefits that Boys & Girls Clubs make possible is that your $1 contribution is multiplied by $16.18. Your $30 donation turns into $485 in economic benefit to the community. That's a tremendous return on your investment and a great way to leverage your contribution!
We're Building Dreams... You can Help!
Thank you for your interest in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley's Capital Campaign. Last year, we served more than 8,500 children and families in North Orange County, but there's more we can do!
We are in the process of building California's 1st Boys & Girls Club on a college campus. In 2011, the Club opened the Robert Mayer Child Development Preschool which helps make a difference to children and families every day. Now, the Club is working toward raising $5 million to build a gymnasium and school age club to complete a "family campus" at Golden West College. When complete, kids will grow up on a college campus, from preschool to high school, and both kids and parents will get the suport they need to make their college dreams come true.
